Dear visitor, Now, 8 years after this website was first created, the time has come for changes. As most of you have noticed, there have been occasional availability problems with the site over the last few months. Behind the scenes, a lot of effort has been spent to solve this. Unfortunately, the problems have persisted. Therefore it has been decided to move the site to a new server. Over the next week or so I will start to copy files over from the old server to the new one. The old one will stay in use all through that phase and nobody will notice anything. When that is done, I will have to close the forum down for a few days (the main site will stay up). In those days, the forum software will be installed on the new server and all the existing discussions will be moved over. When everything is up and running, the forum will be activated at the new server. From that point onwards, anyone that goes to the old site will see a message that the site has moved and will be redirected automatically within a few seconds. One of these days I'll send out an email to all the registered users of the forum, so that those who don't visit very often are informed as well. Before I do that, I will delete users who have not posted during the last year or so. They can always re-register and join the club once more. Finally, the address (URL) of the site will change. I'll announce the new address as soon as the domain registration has been successfully completed. For the next few weeks/months I'll keep the "look and feel" the same as it is now, so that everyone will recognize it when they see it. How the site looks now is familiar to all of us and I don't want to make too many changes all at once. Thank you all for your continued support over the years! Kind regards, |
