I have just refitted my refurbished pump and injectors. When I fitted the fuel injector pipes (original) I now have small leaks at 2 of the injectors. It looks like the fuel is leaking from the thread at the union of pipe to injector. Is there a recommended sealant, or is it possible to redress the pipe ends? Any suggestions to stop these leaks.

Do not use sealer! If it gets into the pipe or injector you will be in trouble. If you cannot seal it by tightening then take the pipes to an injection specialist for new ferruls or possibly new pipes.

Thankyou for your advice. I won't use sealer, I'll try and tighten them again.

I have used PTFE tape around threads in the past to stop minor leaks with no problem, but was I at risk with that ?.

Re-tighten, now really tight leaks and weeps now stopped. Checked after about an hour no leaks.
Doesn’t PTFE tape go slimy?

PTFE can go a bit slimy, but it has worked for me, must have been in place over 10 years now and no leaks.
