Non original engine'd dexta?
So my dexta is probably going to be stripped down this winter, with repairs entailing a new clutch, brakes, trumpet seals and an engine rebuild/replacement..
And it got me thinking - what engines are out there that will fit directly onto the bellhousing sing with minimal fuss?

Which Ransomes plough for a Ford 4000-four?
I have a Ford 4000-four which is a little county, and am starting to look around for a plough for it..
Someone mentioned to me today a TS90 3 furrow? Although I've seen a 3 furrow ts59 which looked quite neat. I don't want the tractor to dwarf the plough though.
Thanks

County 4wd tyre sizes?
My dad's Ploughmaster 75 has 13.6 r38''s on the rear and 11.2-24 tyres on the front. I recently looked at a Ford 4000 four which had the same size tyres as this on. Yet my neighbours 4000 four appears to have smaller wheels and tyres on? The sidewalls of the rears have corroded the size off but are ...

Thanks for replies..perhaps I'll leave the check chains for the moment..Thought they'd be a must to keep the plough straight! Next step is getting it set ready to have a bash at a working day in August

What do you guys use for adjustable check chains on your dexta?
Picked up a lovely little ferguson plough on the Weekend but I've got nothing to stop the hydraulic arms from swaying. Can only find adjustable ones for a major?
Thanks

Took a 23c engine'd fe35 fergie for a spin after I'd rebuilt the engine. Found it to be rather slow even flat out in high 3rd. Much prefer the zippy feel of the dexta on the road

Fordson Dexta Mil Loader attachments?
Hi all
I have a Fordson Standard Dexta which has been fitted with a Mil trip loader. It came with a bucket attachment which is bent and a little worse for wear..
I'm looking for a muck fork attachment if anyone knows of one in half reasonable condition? Thanks
