I am getting a conversion kit as well. I have been lucky, no leaks so far, but I do not trust the by-pass valve function on the cartridge type.

Hi Wayne, The inner cup should be pressed down to sit in the dent in the outer cup. This seems impossible since the inner cup is broken. I have read two different things. One says that dust is pulled down where at the last portion, the air makes a quick 180 degree turn up and the dust because of momentum gets caught in the oil which is just below the turn.. There are some manufacturers of power steering conversion kits in Turkey.
