Re: plough for a dexta.

Hi,
There are lots of difference answers to this question, I will say that a standard Dexta without weights can only cope with a 2frw plough.
It is reasanable to expect it to plough at 11"W x4"D in stubble ground.

Re: Stop Cable

Hi, Marcusgs
There is supposed to be a bracket that fit's to the rear of the injector pump this has a small clamp to secure the outer cable.
Hope this helps.

Re: Dexta headlights

Hi Ncfcdexta
The original head lights on the dexta were Butlers and have( Butlers ) on the top of the lens.
If you require reflectors Vapromatic repros are the correct size and the original butlers can be siliconed in.

Re: PISTON PROTUDING FROM BLOCK??

Hi Conar22 I had my block fitted with Vapromatic pistons and liners these pistons were also proud of the block, i contacted an ex perkins engineer who told me the pistons should be machined level to 0.01mm below . Using a gauge to make certain of TDC i used a large file and emery tape so that they w...

Re: Gearbox question

Hi Jim
The input shaft cannot be removed without removing the bell housing, there is an input shaft retainer in the housing.
Hope this helps, good chance to check the clutch anyway.

Re: Dexta oil pressure

Hi Nick
The problem you have is maybe that you have not turned the engine over for long enough to fill the the oil filter bowl with oil,
There will be no oil flo anywhere until this is full and the oil pressure relief valve opens.(don't panic)

dexta stiff steering

Hi Landowner,
there are 15x5/16" ball bearings in the top bearing, There are no metric sizes on a Dexta.
I don't think sized radias bolts will cause heavy steering, Steering box oil seals may have gone so no oil. No easy solution.

Misfit qudrant control

Hi ddoan
Good pics, I think you have the wrong quadrant lever fitted, the original lever and disc plate are one piece and quite a different shape. (the one you show maybe for a ferguson T20etc ) This part does not ware ,so a scrap tractor may be an option.

The correct possitions are, Fully Right =Side & tail only Next Left = Everything off 2nd Left =Side Tail And dipped head lights 3rd Left = Side...

Hi Ben
Maybe worth a try , Remove the four bolts holding the gearsticks
and lift of , if selectors are not in line you can use a tyer lever to move shaft to centre. DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE
Good luck.
