Yes they are high but with exchange rate now, I can get the one from Shelf for around $800. And that includes shipping my core to them. Was just wondering about the reputation over there.

I have been looking for a pump for my tractor and none are to be had here in the USA. I have found two in the UK. One is the Forge services company and the other is Sheaf. Have any of you had dealings with these folks and what do you know about their reputation?

Re: air filter oil level
Be sure and not over fill the filter! When I rebuilt my engine the filter body was rusted out and had no oil for who knows how long. Anyway I way over filled it and the engine started sucking the oil out of the filter and ran away with me! I finally got my wits me and pulled the kill switch but by t...

Where are you located? I have a new rebuild kit with new valves guides the works that I never used as my head was cracked in several places. If you are in the U S you can have it for shipping. If over seas cost of shipping may be more than it is worth. I will never need it.

Re: Diesel Leak of fuel pump
Mine pores fuel from more than one place, I know it needs to be rebuilt but that is quite expensive and hard to find someone to do here in the U.S.
I hope to get it built in the spring before summer work begins.

Yes I can get it repaired, had no luck at finding one ready to go. But the repair people will not give you a firm price. They give you a starting price of around $550 but say it can go as high as a thousand if what ever has to be replaced. These folk advertise one rebuilt and ready to go for a fixed...

Re: Combustion chamber covers
i used a product called copper coat ,which is a very good sealant. But still had to use a trick i found on here in the old postings. I put the sealant on with new copper gaskets . Tighten them down the whack it with a hammer and re tighten. Worked like a charm! This was after several failed attempts.

Re: black smoke and running rough
Back in the spring when I built my engine I to had a a cracked head. I bought a new one and have had had no problems with it. I did have a tough time getting the covers to seal on the combustion chambers, but that seems to be automatic when they are removed.
