Super dexta engine on dexta tractor

Hi, I have a dexta that desperately needs a new engine and I am thinking of putting a super dexta engine on it. More power but what do I need to look for or watch out for. Because when I get the new engine I cannot use the old injection pump. The speed control is different. But it looks all doable. ...

need to re-thread the valve connection

Hello all, I have been so lucky to find an original valve to be installed under my super dexta fuel tank. However, the valve fits perfectly on the tank, but the fuel line connection is damaged and will not hold. Checking the fuel line the thread on the "bolt" is fine, but the thread in the valve is ...

what is the difference between dexta and super dexta

The question comes, as I have bougth a super dexta ( or that is what I thought ). The reason for my doubt is, that I removed the rocker head and found a number in the cilinder head being 144, where I expected a 152. So I think now that I have a super dexta with a dexta engine. But how can I see if i...

Having read the text here and found out that IMHO did not mean Internal Motor Head Oil, I was adviced that changing the piston rings would help reduce the back pressure. Now planning to do so, I wonder what job am I taking on. Taking the engine off the tractor? and how does it work with the clutch? ...

Repair my starter motor with a repair kit.

I have replaced my startermotor with an other startermotor, but I want to repair the old startermotor with a repair kit. I have had a look at how the cupper leads are fixed and they seem to be clampt to the cover plate. The question is how do I fix the new leads do I open the clamps with a screw dri...

I had the same problem when I ran out of fule on my 61 dexta. Now I have read the first answer and it may be that a dexta is different from a super dexta I do not know. But I had two bleeding screws on the fuel filter and one on the fuel pump. Procedure was to open the lowest bleeding screw on the f...

what is the bold size of the thrid bolt on the startermotor

I have removed the starter motor to have it checked. I have removed the two bolts on the front, but at the back side of the starter motor there is a third bold, that was missing. There is a thread in the motor it self and I have tried bolts like an M8 that seems to fit, but seems not to be correct. ...

testing started motor

Can I test my starter motor by bypassing the relay and direct connecting the battery to the power connection on the starter motor?
Or is there a test to check if he is still ok?

When starting the relay gets hot and the start motor itself (even smoke is comming from it). The cable to the start motor is cold except for the connection to the start motor, but it is lose...

I have noticed that the starter motor has got a clamp over it with sort od shims underneath. This clamp is at the end of the where the power wire is connected. Under these (thick) shims there ar openings to the start motor. Now I have not opened it, but what is the purpose of all this? Is it weather...

she will not lift when under an angle

When my tractor is level, she will lift the lifting arms and the load in it as well, but when the tracor is under angle, the front 8 inches higher than the back, she will say" lift this yourself, I am not doing it".
What is wrong here, or is it normal?
