Hi Brian
Thanks for your reply.
Is the H pattern column change going to be difficult to remove? Also, from the pictures I have seen it looks like the handbrake is on the opposite side on the AP to the LP?
Thanks
Jeff

Ford 4610 cab
Hi
Does anybody know whether it is possible to fit a 5610 Cab onto a 4610 tractor and if so, is it a lot of trouble or is it a transplant too far!?
Thanks
Jeff

Re: county 944 project
Thanks for your interest.
How are winches mounted in Norway?
When I was looking for parts for the Duncan cab, I couldn't find anything!! Took about 4 months to find the glass and ended up making my own door from scratch!

Re: county 944 project
Hi
Thanks to everyone for your comments.
I reckon I put around 260 hours into the tractor, not including the time finding all the parts required!!
A thank you to the wife for trawling the internet and doing all the phone calls!

county 944 project
This is a restoration I did for a friend who wanted to use the County back in the woods after it had been standing for about 10 years. Here are some photos as the work progressed. This is when it arrived. http://i748.photobucket.com/albums/xx122/jeff4wd/280.jpg http://i748.photobucket.com/albums/xx1...

Duncan Cab Glass
Hi I am restoring a County 944 for a customer and the Duncan cab requires a windscreen and side window. I have tried everywhere I can think of, including Duncan themselves. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I could find these parts. The windscreen is rectangle in an alloy frame and the si...

Hi
Thanks for the information.
Looks like he's gonna have to cough up for the original items as long as I can get some from County.
Last time I spoke to them, they didn't have any!

County Track Rods
Hi Everyone
I am repairing a County 944 for a friend and am looking for some track rod ends.
They seem to very expensive from County. Does anyone know of any track rods from another vehicle that would fit?
My friend is on a tight budget!
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Jeff

Re: v5 information query
Hi Thanks Brian Have looked all over the tractor for this number and can't find it anywhere. The serial no. on the tractor definitely does not match this number. Could the gearbox have been changed or is there chance of someone swapping the number plate with another tractor? All the casting codes ma...

v5 information query
Hi again I recently received the V5 log book for my 1967 Ford 3000 tractor. Under Chassis/Serial No it has 7E KB 837707. I cannot find this number anywhere on the tractor. Does anybody have any idea as to what this number could be, as all the casting codes match within a month of each other, Decembe...

Serial Number Query
Hi
I have recently bought a Ford 3000. I am having a bit of trouble figuring out the numbers on the bell housing area. They read like this:
6M22C
7A12
A146-946
Can anyone help me identify these numbers, as I cannot make any sense of them, especially the serial number?!
Thanks
Jeff

Spacers on Fordson Major 13" clutch
HI Have just split my 1960 Roadless Power Major, initially to change the gearbox because of an awful noise, but have also put a new 13" clutch pressure plate on as well, because the one that was there had been welded and was a bit of a mess. Wondering if anyone knows the thickness of the spacers tha...

clutch problems on ford 3000
Just wondering if anyone can help. I have an N reg ford 3000, had no problems with it, very smooth clutch and gearchange. Went to move it today, into gear fine, then shot off in reverse even though the clutch was in! Bit of a shock. Stopped it with pull to stop. Now I can't get it into gear at all. ...

Re: Power Steering on Ford 3000 4wd
Hi Glad you like the tractor. It is an italian conversion, the plate on it says Palazzani. The company is still trading, they have a website, they now make high lift platforms for the building industry. I sent them an email and they still have parts available for the conversion. I think you're proba...

Power Steering on Ford 3000 4wd
HI I own a Ford 3000 4wd which I would like to fit power steering onto. The addon kits that are available will not work because of the size of the 4wd front axle. Diff Lock problems
Hi Wonder if anyone can help. I have a 1963 Super Dexta. Problem I have is the Diff Lock is only engaging below the foot rest! Seems to be working fine once engaged. The operating lever seems to be too low down. When the adjusting screw is opened to allow it to come up, there is a lot of freeplay. T...

Hi, Glad you like the tractors. The Ford 3000 has a plate with Palazzini on it. This is an Italian company who still trade today making cherry pickers and excavators, I think! The Majors were exported from here. The Power major in 1960 to Sweden and the Super was exported to Finland I believe. I hav...
