Re: gearbox oil - level
Is there any need for an urgent splitting right now? I don't want to have damage on the gears etc... I've read some previous posts by Adrian concerning these bearings, where he suggests to split the tractor and replace them. The lower seal of the PTO shaft is alright, as I took out the PTO axle with...

gearbox oil - level
I was looking to clean out the oil of the gearbox tomorrow. I dismantled the pulley and found the oil level to be low. Where can I find the needed level mark, as there's no dipstick for the gearbox? What's the best way to have a good view on the gearbox?

Re: brake hangin up
There are for and against arguments about using copper ease/ copper grease. I'm in the 'for' camp in this particular situation. Having got this far, Mark, I'd go one step further and remove the brake housing. This would enable you to replace the 50+ year old seal. It would also allow you access to ...

Re: This Super major wants to introduce you his new owner
Today I tried to weld the cracks, but no luck so far. It's such a little piece.. :s
Then I mounted the hydraulic cover, but it seems I need this part of the body to have a close fit of the pipes.
Anyone any ideas?
Tomorrow I will start with the brakes, I hope that goes a little easier.

Re: This Super major wants to introduce you his new owner
As she has a replacement engine, it doesn't have the right papers to go on the road. Will see how far we go there. Plans are as follow: I've got the complete brakes out so far, one side was really rusty. New discs and springs are on the way. The hydraulic cover needs to get off again, as I'm not get...

This Super major wants to introduce you his new owner
First things first: thanks for the acceptation to this amazing board. I recently bought this nice super major. The hydraulics and the brakes needs to be repaired. The engines works well. A little leakage is seen at the pedals. Here are some pictures: https://s31.postimg.org/p9227324b/DSCN6838.jpg sc...
