Re: belt pulley - splines

Hi all I just removed my pulley and the spline seal is of flat gasket material and seals against the bearing face and the center hub
This is a 64 model and appears to be original

Re: Headlamps

Good work
I had the same trouble with buggered reflectors. I bought new lights from agriline and pinched the reflectors globe and contacts and glass. Worked well

Re: Looking for info on this Interesting Raised PTO mod

Hi whirly

I’m chasing the roller bearing on the end of the shaft.... did you find a supplier?

It was ok but to get it off I wrecked it

Or do I not worry about replacing it.. it won’t be doing heavy work

Cheers

Re: New Hydrostatic Power Steering pics uploaded to Photobuc

Update I have now completed the conversion to hydro static steering. I had it plumbed up to the aux port on the tractors rear end. The tractors pump has more than enough flow to run the steering system, however I do not have live drive pto. This means that when I change gears I will have no steering...

Re: Super major brake shaft seal

Ok crisis averted.

For anyone else trying to remove the peddle, the culprit is a wedge pin and just needs to be driven out.

Re: Super major brake shaft seal

So I’m having real trouble getting the cross shaft level off the shaft. It seems to have a bolt or a pin in the lever but I can’t drill it and I’ve tried welding nuts to the end of it but it is so stuck it twists off the nut? So how does it come apart? Is it a pin or a bolt? I’m about to destroy it ...

Super major brake shaft seal

Hi All

Are the seals on the brake shaft the same across all models?

I can’t seem to find a super major seal for this job.

Hydraulic pump upgrade

Hi all Has anyone removed the standard hydraulic pump on a fordson super major and replaced it with a modern pump with higher output? There seems to be enough volume in the diff for a bigger pump does it just need a bit of engineering to get a new one in there? I want to run hyrdostatic steering and...

Re: New Hydrostatic Power Steering pics uploaded to Photobuc

Hi Steve
Omg I'm so excited to see you have converted to hydrostatic steering.
Couple question as I'm keen to do this. Did you use the original steering column?
What orbital unit have your used. What's it off?
Did you contemplate tapping into the tractors hydraulics?

Cheers
