Re: handbrake advice

Hi Bensdexta,

I think its different. The locking mechanism is a moveable block outside of the handbrake handle.

handbrake advice

Hi All, My dexta has a problem with handbrake but the repair kits and diagrams supplied by Agriline are different. The handbrake releases when the button is pressed and a pin retreats back into the body of the brake releasing a free block with teeth on it that engages with a toothed bracket on the t...

releasing engaged handbrake

I have a seized handbrake on my 59 Dexta. Is there a way to release the tension before I try to remove the brake drum on the LHS? The handbrake on and will not release. Ideas or comments? thanks Botch.

fuel tank feed options

Hi I recently noticed fuel leaking from the pumping button and fuel feed to the inlet manifold. I have ordered a replacement but this doesn't have the manifold feed. This is obviously to aid starting but doesn't appear on the super dexta. Is it vital and where would I get a replacement part? Agrilin...

temperature gauge problems

I am experiencing difficulty sourcing a replacement temperature gauge unit for my Dexta. I have bought one from Agriline but the meter does not fit the orginal (or the replacement) dash plate and the thermocouple looks 2 to 3x larger than the one I have extracted from the waterpump body. I have chec...

Dexta handbrake adjustment

I'm having trouble with disengaging the handbrake on my Dexta. On pressing the central button a small pin moves but doesn't seem to release the rachet block on the side of the brake. Is this faulty? There doesn't seem any adjustment possible. Has anyone had this problem or can help?
