Hi fellow Dexta fans
I’m looking for a variety of Dexta parts that people may have kicking around, hence reaching out, especially if you’re in East Anglia!
Primarily after sump, front axle pivot box and pin/retainer , and a Dexta front crank pulley.
Appreciate any help or direction
Thanks!

Re: Super Dexta 1964 Handbrake only brakes Right wheel
Hi all If the footpedal operates the LHS brake then I expect the issue is with the linkages between the handbrake lever and the LHS brake operating shaft Thanks for the link on posting hopefully you can see referenced image https://i.postimg.cc/2VN2kbCn/Dexta-Handbrake-Numbered.png FYI 1. Brake shaf...

Re: Super Dexta 1964 Handbrake only brakes Right wheel
Hi again i did find an old photo (but can't seem to post), I'd suggest (as if the handbrake mounted on the LHS is operating the brake on the RHS) the cross linkages are working but the adjustment screw and locknut from the handbrake shaft are loose/missing, meaning the handbrake shaft does not opera...

Re: Super Dexta 1964 Handbrake only brakes Right wheel
I believe the handbrake should work on both wheels and is independent of the pedal being latches together. Check the linkages that use the cross link bracket that runs under the tractor, you should see them move as the handbrake lever is moved, they operate onto cams for the usual footbrake rods. Ap...

Dexta stopped dead.... injector pump?..
Hi all My Dexta was running ok then it just stopped while idling, I thought perhaps out of fuel, but lift pump was ok (checked via bleed screw) I released number 1 injector, but no fuel spurting, there had been a knock knock, or perhaps more a slap slap near the front of the engine, but now i’m Susp...

Re: Dexta hydraulics lift help please
Hi fellow Dexta fans Thought I'd share my findings on the fixed lift, I used info from this forum and a variety of other area and all now good 1. Check the lift height control pin (this wears on the cam), mine had worn, however rather than replace I removed mine, re inserted it with worn side away f...

Re: Dexta hydraulics lift help please
Thanks Shawnee I hope to revisit the tractor in the coming weeks and will advise/investigate your suggestions. I've had the top/flow control assembly off, and have been trying to remove the 'flow control valve', however i can't remove the cap that is held in place with the roll pin. Any ideas anyone...

Re: Super decta lift
Hiya The Fordson manuals do detail a method of attaching a pressure gauge to the output of the pump and/or the auxiliary services valve. See links for details I believe this is serious high pressure kit, so not sure what you would have available locally. I'd guess that if you lift mechanisms can rai...

Re: No hydraulics
Hiya
Really depends whether you wish to attach and operate attachments. The bulk of deltas I've seen have/use hydraulics

Hi all Thanks for a super forum I'm trying to get my father in law's dexta running again, and have a variety of challenges (all done remotely tractor is many miles away!)!!! Hi not sure on dexta gearbox, but I had a similar issue on a motorbike a few years ago, if you can see the bolt or drain oil and tip tractor to be able to locate it you may be able to 'suck it' out. On the bike I attached smaller tubes onto the hoover outlet, then used to 'grab' the bolt. this worke...

Hi Many thanks for the tips, I think it may actually be a Super Ddexta so my question still stands (just in case) on the nut size. I believe that the shafts have become 'ridged' (hence the leaks), and we plan to clean them and fill with metallic araldite, sand them down and then rebuild. Hopefully (...

Before then please can anyone advise the size of (the large) nuts that are used to retain the axle/b...

Hi all I'm a newby, who is looking to assist my father in law with his dexta Two issues at present: 1. the rear hydraulic lift (he has a link box fitted at present) is unable to lift a load, (I have to shovel stuff in by hand!!!). It does stay lifted, and if you leave it overnight it seems to stay l...
