For beading if you get some black electrical cable and slit it down one side, then remove the wires it can then be pushed round the edges and it makes a good bead.

I have recently purchased a 1968/9 Ford Whitlock Digger on "G" reg to do some excavation work. Trying to find information on the unit, I have been told they were based on a Ford 5000, is this correct ?, as I want to purchase filters etc.

Currently on e bay I see there is a Dexta injector pump of unknown condition, so may go cheaply, item 150441727549.
Could be worth a look.

I have found in my 1961 parts manual that the radiator hose clips are flat types. Only the air cleaner pipes are shown as wire clips.

Went to Tractor World at Malvern today and had a good look around the badges. Some looked very poor, some a little better but still not as good as the original. Old 20 Parts are good for Ford Fergy parts and if they don't have them will get them from their contacts in the States and have them sent over as part of a larger order saving on shipping coats.

Would think it could be worth contacting your local hydraulic fittings agent in Yellow Pages as they normally know where to get these items.

Should think that will make even a Petrol Dexta grunt.

When I used to run milk tankers, we used to get a lot of jobs pumping water in to fill old buried fuel tanks. I even had passers by ringing up to enquire why we were storing milk in garage forecourts !!, was tempted to say you could travel further on milk.

Can anyone recommend a supplier of a good quality badge which is a good fit. I have already returned one I had purchased which was quite distorted and not well finished.

Just to be different my 64 Super Dexta has a footrest on clutch side but none on brake side. Think I will get one.

It could be worth looking for a wiper from an old truck or bus, as the cabs were mainly ash framed which was fairly thick, and old vehicles were still 12volt. Try an old HGV magazine for spares suppliers.

PTFE can go a bit slimy, but it has worked for me, must have been in place over 10 years now and no leaks.

I have used PTFE tape around threads in the past to stop minor leaks with no problem, but was I at risk with that ?.
