footrests
going to stir things here - i read in tractor & machinary Nov 05 that the left hand foot rest was deleted as of approx july 1959 which would tie in with one of my dextas where a footrest was added before i bought it presumably because it was thought to be missing

Hi My 1960 dexta, dual clutch is fitted with a front loader fed off the auxillary circuit with another secondary valve that directs flow to either front loader or rear appliance if fitted/ used. Front bonnet protection
Hi
Any body got a picture/ details of the guard to protect the dexta front cowl - or even one for sale.
I use my dexta with a front loader and keep bashing the tin work which i would rather not if i can avoid it

npaisnel - wondering about here a bit on the subject- but for the record i have 2 dextas - not meaning to boast 60 &62 both have seats like the one in your post no grooves in the top although the 62 has been heavily repaired. But the point i was trying to make is if you look at the rear view of Stef...

hi interesting - your brochure picture shows the socket fixed to the mudguard with no toolbox. One other observation - it might just be the camera angle - the seat pan and bracket from the rear view look different as well - more curved if you see what i mean - do you think it is different from UK spec

Picture/ rear end
hi looking at your very impressive restoration i noted two things - the drawbar arrangement is that an aftermarket fitting or original? Never seen one like that before. Also you have what seems to be the electrical socket on the rear axle not the tool box again is that normal for German market machi...

I have noticed that when trying to start there is a slight delay then a whiff of smoke from the front end of the starting motor before it kicks in at which point the smoke stops. All very quick but i presume this is not normal. Any ideas as to problem/ solution. Its not and never has been brilliant ...

wellthanks for moving my post - stirred up things a bit. I think i will go the concrete weight route given comments. with regard to the ballast leakage i wonder if its some weird Shark of inner tube rubbers in that its somehow gas impermeable but fluid permable - not what you would expect given that...
