tried out the votex topper. works well leaves a reasonable finish and copes with the grass up to two foot in second gear, then the dexta is at its maximum. didnt try first gear. need to replace the wooden boards on the back, does anyone know what wood was orriginally used? was it just pine? managed to weld the sheared shaft back together, not sure how well it will hold under load but I will find out. Can any one recoment a resonable make of PTO shaft? The one that i got with the topper is leathal, the lock pin does has stuck open and meant the shaft cam off giving me a bit of a jump, t...

if you are after a new one i heard flemming are meant to be good for the money.
I have found out the hard way that beyond belts and blades thre is nothing available for votex toppers.

can you snap the pison rings off then push it back in to the bore?
you will be replacing the rings anyway i assume

bought a 6ft votex topper that needs a bit of work.
the pulley has been sheared off the top of one of the rotors so its only one sided at the moment.
any ideas on how to fix this?

Don't want kill my tractor so ill look for a 5 or 6 ft one.
Is it possible to reduce a 3 rotor one down to a 2 rotor?

I have recently aquired a 3 cyl MF 35 and had the same problem, The fuel pumps are very similar.

where is the best place to tap into the hydraulics? from the valve chest or direct from the pump? and the return is through the filler plug.

Hydraulic top link

I was thinking of making a hydraulic top link to use on my dexta when using things like pallet forks and tansport box.
would the cast mount for the top link rocker be better than using the top link itself

I went and bought a 4 furrow ransomes plough today. can't decide if it is a ts 59 or a ts 64 could some one identify the differences?
does the bar at the front that holds the discs destingish between them? the one on this plough is straight.

What is the largest plough a dexta can handle? been offered a 3 furrow ransoms plough on cat 2 pins. the plough has been converted to 4 furrows set at 14" at the moment. and also has a depth wheel. was planning to convert back to 3 furrows at 12" would a dexta handle this without extra wheel weights...

i just used some things i had lying around. keep meaning to by one intended for a motor bike. type something along the lines of brake switch into ebay and you will find one. its all hidden under the footplate.

I have the same issue. need to by new tires anyway so was thinking of changing from 10-28 to a larger size like 12.7-28 should increase road speed and traction.
