Yes the oil level is correct. And pushing that small lever under the seat, raises the linkage all the way up, mut as you release it the linkage will come down.

Took a time travel to 1960's

Luckily the old bearings were in good condition. I changed them yesterday, and now there is good oil pressure :beer: About 35 psi with hot engine idling. Only problem is the hydraulics. Just removed the oil pan and pump. Also opened one main bearing and guess what.. The block is line bored and needs main bearing shells with bigger outer diameter :oops: During rebuild I only looked at the text std in old bearings, but the whole text was id = std and od = 0,015 :oops: Can I found tho...

Well well, now there's a problem with oil pressure. Yesterday I put a proper calibrated gauge and measured the pressure. Mostly same jobs that I use Dexta. Clearing snow, transporting gravel etc.

Have You checked the straightness of the crankshaft bore in cylinder block?

Are the thrust bearings correctly in place?

Didn't find anything else wrong, but the oil pump cover which was cracked. maybe the reason is that? Everything else looked very good..

Indeed! I really enjoy using these old great machines to work too. In Finland we also call these old machines as a "therapy tractors"

I think most of the Dextas imported to Finland was equipped with downswept exhaust. But also most of them have been modofied to upswept

Plate ordered with original numbers and same time I heard that I am third owner. First owner was 1962-2010, second 2010-2013 and me 2013-> :) Now only waiting parts ...

Yes this kind of old trucks "abuse" is very common here :D And there is no problems with oil capacity 8) Only thing with that trailer is to move the axel backwards as much as possible. Otherwise it may flip over when you use the cylinder. How do You call that mechanism btw? I live in southern Finlan...
