Hi,
I have a E27N pet/TVO engine lying on its side on my garage floor as I needed to remove the clutch and flywheel for a conversion. Removing the clutch is fine; clearly though the flywheel is retained by six pull in bolts and nuts from the engine side.
The question is can I undo these 6 by accessing through the sump cover plate (some 10" square) or do I have to remove the sump?
Please only answer if you have done this I don't need six wooly answers that are not useful provided by someone with more time than knowledge.
Thanks Mike

Hi,
You need to remove the sump.
What are you converting then?
