1954 Fordson Major Petrol/Kero carburettor identification

Hi all,

Just doing some research for my dad. As the title reads, he has a 1954 Major Petrol/Kero with a Zenith carburettor fitted. We are assuming this is the original, factory fitted carburettor, but we cant find any markings on it to identify the model. Can anyone confirm the original carburettor fitted? All our research leads to dead ends. It isnt a Zenith 28G, we know that much.

He needs at a minimum, a new needle and seat, or to save him a few headaches, a replacement curburettor, the same or after market. It will only be run on petrol, as the price of kerosene here in Australia is through the roof and he's not concerned about not keeping it original, as evident by the custom extractors my brother whipped up for him! Check them out here...http://s1248.photobucket.com/user/Matt_ ... o/library/

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Matt and Peter (dad)

Welcome to the board.

There were two carburettors on the early E1ADKN tractors but you should have this one.

It is a Zenith but I do not have the number at the moment. Barry M might chip in and he has all the details of both.
