Aveling Barford Dumper.

Post by Ambidextarous »

The bloke working on my Super Dexta has started the restoration of a Fordson N or F based dumper built by this company. Apparently they are very rare compared to the more common Muir Hill machine. Do any of you lot have any info on this machine so by he can re-build it to original spec. He only has one picture to work from and it's a total heap and he's virtually building it from scratch. Any help muchly appreciated.

Hi,

Unfortunately I can't help you. May be the book Model N misscelanny from Allan T Condie can help you. I believe these prints are readily available in the UK.

Unfortunately Emiel, Mr Condie is of no help but the project is coming along nicely. The owner has spent an absolute fortune on it to date, ( Think lottery win) and it looks like it may be the only one in existence. I'll ask if I can take a photo or two to put up.
