I am in the process of replacing the piston gland and roller on the linkage along with the o-rings on my 1963 Super Major, found the screen plugged with particles of glyptal paint that pealed off the inside of the housing. It had scratched the cylinder,I suspect .006 - .008 inch will clear up. Is there a problem with honeing the cylinder to clear the scratches ?. I am also wondering how to prevent more paint from pealing , I am thinking of pressure washing to remove any loose paint .
Any experience or recommendations will be appreciated.
Thanks
