hydraulics

Post by willtuono »

Hi all new on hear in need of some help (advice).
We have a 1963 super major live drive,The tractor is fitted with a front end loader and fork lift on the rear arms.
Last week i went to use the tractor but the arms would not lift up right up only about 1inch. The loader and fork lift will work on auxiliary ok, i found out by accident that i could rase the arms by pushing the draft (qualitrol) lever down past position control position but they would come strait back down again. I managed to get the arms to stay up by this method by pulling out the auxiliary button when the arms were fully up. I could then use the front end loader or fork lift. We have had no history of hydraulic trouble with this tractor there is plenty of oil in the back end and when you operate the fork lift you can tell there is good pressure i did test it a while ago and it was over 2000psi i am wondering if something has come of the control lever shaft inside
