Brought her home today. Going to be pushing her into the workshop tomorrow after she has a wash, then the big stip down can begin. Will take loads of pictures, will need some help getting an age for her if anyone can help with that.

Could you take some photos of your tractor before you begin work? The 'before' and 'after' pics always tell a great story.

Hi Guys, Well i have started work on her. Not thought of a name yet, But so far i have split her in half to do the rear crank seal and seeing what else needs doing while im there. Anyone got any advice on what other seals etc i should replace while i have her in half?? Have taken lots of pictures how can i load them onto here??

I have got all the numbers and they are as follows:

Cylinder head... FL 6050J
Engine No... 08C967812 ..... making her 1963??
Block number... E1AODN6015 E
Transmission casting No... 3G19
Trumpet L/H 3G18
Trumpet R/H 3G19

Cheers

Steve

She's all June / July 1963 build.

About the pictures, load them on a site were you can store pictures. Than put the properties of each picture between the image tags.
Kind regards, Henk

Your casting codes work out to July 18 & 19 1963

Your engine number 08C is as you say 1963, but the number seems a little high? Are you sure its 08C967812 and not 08C867812?

Cheers chaps! Will double check that engine number. Will sort the pictures out tomorrow. Just got to the rear crank seal this afternoon. Is it best to replace the top half of the seal and then put her back together to do the bottom part??

Cheers

Yes his engine number is properly 08C967812  , because mine is 08C967667 and its also from july 1963, with castings 3G22 and 3G15... their er maybe from same production day/week as AdrianNPMajor :D

Yes Halloween!! thats what i was trying to do! how did you do that?? I have aload more pictures to show you. I have double and triple checked my engine number and 08C967812 is right.

@ Mjg1705 I payed £755 for her from a chap in Saltash, He had her for about 4 years and said when he got her she was running apart from spewing oil out the rear crank seal. So ive almost done the seal, the only tin work im missing are her wings and nose cone, Im not sure if i should replace the clutch while i have it out or take a risk and leave it. Any thoughts???
