oil

Ok so i have found on this site that the recomended oil for my 57 major is either 20w or 20w30.... i have called ever where around me and all i can find is 20w50. Will this be good enough? What other options can i use that wont hurt my fresh rebuilt deisel?

I did find this page that says 20w50 is an equivelent . And 15w40 would work for winter?

I think 15W40 is your best option.

Perfect! I picked up 10l yesterday after talking with my father in law! Now if only i can get some time in the garage i should be able to measure for the cylinder sleeve shims and get them ordered!
