oil pressure gauge

my mate has got a fordson diesel major year of make 1955. we have been rebuilding it over the last 3 years.
we are not getting any oil pressure showing on the new capillary oil gauge. (there was no reading on the old oil gauge which was a
electric one) the tractor starts and runs ok.
could this be a problem with the oil pressure relief valve (where is the valve located) and also if its the oil pump can you
still get a replacement for this tractor.
