Super major brake shaft seal

Hi All

Are the seals on the brake shaft the same across all models?

I can’t seem to find a super major seal for this job.

No, the seals on the Major and Power Major are different to the Super Major. The Major and Power Major have 2 seals inboard and outboard of the brake extension housing.
The Super Major has a single seal of a different size to one's used on the Major and Power Major.

Agriline list them on their website, as does Silver Fox Tractor Spares and several other
suppliers.

Right, understand the part you mean now, Fordson part number E27N-2567-A, brake and clutch cross shaft seal. Looks like the same seal was used on the E27N, Major, Power Major and Super Major.

Silver Fox list the same seal for Major/Power Major/ Super Major tractors as also do Agriline. The seal dimension is 1.75 x 1.12 x 0.43 inches in Imperial and 44 x 29 x 11 metric millimetres. Agriline part number 5229 at £3.50, 2 seals needed one each side.
Silver Fox have no part number just described as "Power Major and Super Major brake shaft seal" at £6.35.

So I’m having real trouble getting the cross shaft level off the shaft. It seems to have a bolt or a pin in the lever but I can’t drill it and I’ve tried welding nuts to the end of it but it is so stuck it twists off the nut? So how does it come apart? Is it a pin or a bolt?
I’m about to destroy it to get it off HELP

Ok crisis averted.

For anyone else trying to remove the peddle, the culprit is a wedge pin and just needs to be driven out.
