Lift lever linkage assembly

Post by Beauwh »

I had a stuck lift lever so i decided to start disassembling it to find where it was stuck. Turns out it was just stuck in the linkage area. But when i put it back together it dont want to travel freely in the quadrant. It wont go into the lower half and it will go up but its like its spring loaded and goes right back to the middle. I have went over it a dozen times thinking i reassembled it wrong but cant seem to find the issue. Does this sound fimilar to anyone.

Beauwh,

Are we talking Super or New and Power Major? The Super is completly different.
Kind regards, Henk

Well it’s half working.
The lever will normally stay in ‘hold’ or ‘down’. The ‘lift’ position is indeed spring loaded.
Have you tried it with engine running?

If your lever will not easily push down then it sounds like the valve plunger may be stuck or binding and need further investigation but as previously stated the lever is spring loaded therefore does not stay in the Up position for constant pumping, like the Super Major will, but does return to the neutral position by itself.
