I think I'm right in saying: UNC and UNF
Depends on the bolt/nut.
The online parts list, see sticky here, is quite good at giving bolt/thread size.

I wouldn't recommend just going out and buying a bag of bolts. Replace each bolt one by one as you need.

Wingnut,
Ben is right in saying the nuts and bolts on the Dexta are UNF and UNC depending on the fitment.
If you type into google UNF or UNC thread sizes it will come up with charts which you can print off which give you all the thread sizes as well as drill and tap sizes for the various bolts.
When I was restoring my tractor I only bought small amount of the bolts I was requiring as when you get onto the larger ones they can be quite expensive.
I also found that all the bolts I required were readily available on ebay.

Regards,
Charlie.

Make a list of the sizes you think you will need and visit a Classic vehicle show. There are a lot of stands selling small bags of fixings very cheaply.
I would say 7/16". 1/2", 9/16" and 5/8" in different lengths would be a good start.
You can never have enough fixings in your workshop.

I agree with Charlie if you are restoring a bit at a time. You can get all the imperial nuts, bolts and screws on eBay as you need them; even in stainless steel which is what I used for the temp gauge and tacho cowls and may well use for other prominent bits as ! progress to the main tin work next year.

Hi Guys, while on the bolt and nut topic, does anyone know what size bolt is used to secure the consol to the fuel tank support? I have looked at my parts manual but no bolts are shown there.

Hi Mike, thank you, very much appreciated. I stripped my Dexta many moons ago and for the life of me can't find those damn bolts. I should be cursing myself rather than the bolts. They are the bolts that screw horizontally into the consol from under the tank.

Hi Mervyn
Mine are 5/16 x 3/4 fully threaded with 1/2 inch AF head - does this help?

Hi Mike, apologies for only getting back to you so late. Thank you very much for the info on the bolts you sent me much appreciated. I will probably need to purchase two bolts from our local Nut and Bolt supplier. I hope you are going okay with your repairs/restoration. Once it starts getting warmer here I will need to move my butt and get on with mine.

Kind regards
Mervyn.
