serial and casting codes

Post by jambug123 »

The codes i have on my dexta are serial number is 957E 31044 which tells me its a 1959 tractor the casting codes are
D28C on the bell housing April 28 1959
D30C on the gearbox April 30 1959
F1C on the axle May 1 1959
B20c on the trumpet housing Feb 20 1959

if i am right with the codes then my tractor codes and serial numbers all point to 1959 is this right as i am going to see if i can get the original number plate, Does anyone now who to contact.

James

James,

Unless you have the original log book or current V5 or an old road tax disc you will not get your dexta registered on the original number, the DVLA will not entertain you without one of these.

If you dont have any of the above, take a chance and are successful, let me know please as I have tried many times with my Major without success.

Regards,
