Transmission filter

Post by hiking bear »

Firstly my hydraulics are slow in lifting. I had this on a MF135 and changing the filter overcome the problem, not a nice job though. Therefore can someone advise me on changing the transmission filter and its location etc and how to get to it. Ive noticed that ive also got an oil leak on the top of the box which appears to be between the box casing and the valve assembly, just behind the gear levers. Finally is the filter a washable part or does it have to be replaced?

Just as bad as the 135, you have to take the lift off and the pump out.

Suction filter is the canister and can be washed out, the other is the return filter and would require replacing. These are readily available on E-bay from people like Malcolm Hipperson.
