Oil Pressure Guage

Post by hiking bear »

I soon intend fitting an Oil pressure guage. Im thinking ive got to remove the sender unit and replace with suitable connector. Two questions; 1) What type/size is the thread in the block? 2) Is there such thing as a two way connector so i can retain the electric oil pressure light?
1961 Dexta, 1957 FE35 and 1966 Eicher ES101 (of which im always looking for spares).

The thread is 1/4" BSPT. There are plenty of BSP fittings avilable for compressed air so buying and fitting a tee so you can have the light and gauge will be easy. I think Norgren do one with two female and one male ends.

Oil pressure switch

I understood there were two different threads used on the Dexta, hence why suppliers offer two different switches?
