Hi all, I'm new here... Recently bought a Super Dexta and thought I would share it with you.





There's some slightly non-standard additions...



So far I've greased it all up (a couple of nipples still won't take grease), added oil to the back axel as it had almost none (still not full to the plug beside pto lever though), adjusted the double clutch, and tried refitting the drive cable to the clock/rev counter.

The diff lock is a bit sticky, and the hydraulics I think need adjusting, the handbrake is missing a few essential parts, and the brakes barely hold but just about stop. Oh, and I need to adjust the front wheel bearings.

Other than that it runs like a dream and I spent all weekend harrowing/rolling my partners horse paddocks

Any help/advice will be welcome. I'm sure I'll be asking many questions...

Congratulations,and welcome to the board.

My wife has a quarter horse and a foal,and also a shetlander.
So i think we're in the same position...

But some good may come out of this,at first i started with the purchase of one single Dexta.
By now i am working on number three...

Anyway,should you ever feel the need to talk,i'm here for you.

Good luck with the Dexta,and you might want to paint the grilles...

Got the front wheel bearings sorted this evening. Both spindle threads are damaged but there's enough to hold for now.

Now I can feel a little play in the vertical section of the spindles. Is this adjustable/servicable?

Tried the clock/rev counter cable again but it seems too short. Can anyone explain the route it takes to the injector pump? There's a hole through the battery tray but I can't see this helping much...

I'm also going to have a read to see if I can adjust any play out of the steering gearbox...

for the steering box try taking a few shims out of the top plate to stop the wheel wobbling vertically

What does that mean? Just made from a selection of older bits at the factory? Or bodged together out of two tractors?

Doesn't make too much difference to me, it works and I'll tidy it up...

you,ve got yourself a nice litte superdexta , dont be too worried about bout it having a couple of different no,s there arent many dexta,s a bout that have havent been rebuilt or had some changes with reproductions parts used in them ,to keep them running as long as the parts have not come out of acompleatly different make of tractor ,it still a lovely wee superdexta enjoy an hav fun with it, Gerry
