Cold Start Parts

Post by Donegal Dexta »

I am currently restoring my first Dexta (1961 Diseal Model) and im still finding my feet in terms of the mechanics behind these great little tractors. The whole cold starting parts, heat button, wiring e.t.c are currently missing from the tractor, could somebody please list out the exact parts I require to get the cold start system fully operational again including wiring, a diagram would be much appreciated if any one has one of the cold start set up and how it operates. Cheers.

Basically you just need the heater in the inlet manifold, heater switch on the lower dash panel, the fuel primer and tap under the tank + pipe to deliver the priming fuel to the inlet manifold (see Agriline website).

There is a Dexta wiring diag, parts list & workshop manual downloadable from Stefan's fordson-dexta.de site, plus take a look at his site for descriptions & pics of the fuel tap, manifold etc
All the best.
