what is the bold size of the thrid bolt on the startermotor

Post by dexta61 »

I have removed the starter motor to have it checked.
I have removed the two bolts on the front, but at the back side of the starter motor there is a third bold, that was missing. There is a thread in the motor it self and I have tried bolts like an M8 that seems to fit, but seems not to be correct.
Does anybody know what the bold size is of this third bold at the back of the starter motor with the thread in the plate connected to the motor?
I just bought a DEXTA

I believe the third bolt is 3/8"UNC, 1" long with hex head. It screws into the thread in the adapter plate on the back of the engine.

Just checked my starter and it has no threads in it.

All 3 holes are un-threaded
