A fantastic result. It looks great.

I am interested in if you replaced the guards, and if so what brand they are. Mine are rotten and I have been looking at BareCo replacments, but I'm not sure they are a good match without seeing one.

Great job
Are those original front wheels?
If not where did you get them?
All the best,

Yes Bensdexta, those front wheels were original. After scraping past the wrong white paint on them, the orange was there.I bead blasted, primed and painted.Tires are 550x16".

The mud-guards Pjjms, are aftermarket. They are from AI Products in the US.I believe that they are made in Turkey. The only complaint that I have with these are that they are 1" too short at the foot-rest mounting point.I was told that both Canada and the US are sourcing from Turkey.I've kept my rusted out originals.

Very nice restoration and very interesting modification to the mudguards, hardly noticible. Well done.

That may be by design

If you look at page 150 of the parts manual here:

http://www.fordson-dexta.de/downloads/dextaetxl.pdf

You will see spacers (items 2 and 3) that are used to support 12x28 tyres.

Aftermarket Mud Guards

Post by Blues Power »

Hello Russelm,I did try to replicate those extension plates in the parts manual to make up for 1 1/4'' shortfall on the aftermarket guards. They did not come pre-drilled which worked out ok for mounting.I did some comparison measurements to my originals and all dimensions were good except for the foot-rest attachment.[img][/img]

The guards look supurb, including the extensions, as does the whole tractor.
