Super Dexta paint - blue or pink

Post by landowner »

Cant seem to get the colour right on my '64 Super Dexta.

the paint I got from agriline looks to be too light, any body know if they changed the colour to a lighter or darker shade when switching to the grey wheeled Super Dexta.

thank you

Not painting this one pink BTW, maybe next time.

New Performance Blue

New Performance Blue is a bit lighter than Empire Blue. Here's a thread about it:

Whoops !

I'll have a look at the tin I bought (thought it was Empire) it's definately on the lighter side of blue and I thought it looked too light after seeing paint jobs in the magazines.
Hard to tell as shades vary wildly in photos.

Thought I should have used a darker undercoat but the colour comes out very similar when srayed either on red lead or light grey undercoat.

It's going on now anyway, sod it... :)

I used Agriline's Empire Blue on my New Performance Super Dexta and it looks good to me, it seems to be a lighter blue which apparently the later dexta's were.

mine is straight on the top as I believe it should be.

However my original wasn't but i do believe a large object, or person, had been dropped on it causing it to go like that.!
