Refurb update

Post by gcamp »

Aside from some adjustments and a couple of squeaks, I am calling my Dexta finished.
This forum is and will continue to be my favorite source for Fordson information.
See before and after pics below.

Thanks,
Gene

That is a real credit to you she looks real good :) . I hope you get the urge to do a major. you could then pose the photo on the sales leaflet of when they where both new together on the U.K edition :) .

Thank you very much Robert.
I hadn't thought about doing a Major. Sounds like a good idea.
My shop is looking lonely. :)

Great result Gene,

You have done a wonderful job.

You must do a Major or at least another Dexta. Makes the colour in the barn more bleu.
Kind regards, Henk

The rebirth of another Dexta. Looks excellent ,new guards and probably heaps of new bits and pieces. Is that a new nose cowl she has?. Looks to good to put to work..
Cheers John.

John,
The nose is actually the original. It was repaired and reshaped by a paint and body shop. The fenders are the only new metal pieces.
There are several new bits in other places.
There are more pics at:

GREAT looking Dexta :D

I was going to clean mine up, But WOW you set the bar really high  start to finish how long did it take you?
where is the best place for me to get parts from? seeing as were are so close I will be getting from same source I'm sure.
I'm not sure I will make mine as nice due to it having a few more years of front line duty to serve yet. but one day.....one day :?

Taggart,
It took me eight months plus hours of research and so on. As for parts, send me a PM and I will be glad to share info with you. It could get pretty lengthy. :)
