Hi XPAD.

Seeing that no-one else has relied to you, I thought I would at least say that I have never seen such a setup on a dexta. Having said that, I'm sure that it is possible to do it, quite how you would go about it though I couldn't tell you as mine is still strewn across the shed waiting for me to finish putting it back together!

Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

Ain't it standard to have a foot throttle pedal? Mine has one and I never thought anything of it.

I can take som pictures of the pedal setup and linkage tomorrow.....

The foot pedal operates independent of the hand throttle.
AS you can see from the last picture the link for my hand throttle has slipped out of the controll. Any hint to keep it in place?

Washer and split pin? Or a throttle rod clip that is still available.

Is the foot throttle spring loaded like on a car, or does it still use the friction pad like the hand throttle, in which case how do you reduce throttle?

It functions as a car throttle pedal. I think the spring is in the mechanism shown in the last picture.

I think I might have a solution, I have plenty of these lock nuts for my rc planes, I think I have one that will fit.

And here is pics of my vacum controlled Dexta, little different connection at the original linkage but the pedal itself looks pretty much like. I have been told that the foot pedal was built at our local mek school in the late 60` but it seems to have been some after market stuff. Note the spring for return.
This setup make a possibillity for rev the engine at about 3000 rpm, and it has been used that way for 40 years..... Guess Brian will lock me out of the forum after this  I do have a film of running the engine at this speed, but i dont think Brian will survive :wink:Image

The footpedals shown here just cant be homemade. Its must been made on the same factory.
