Hello guy's,
I'm not so in Dexta's and it could be that the subject has passed once, but is there something like a Dexta Special?
There's an ad on this moment.

If this was a normal type can anyone please give me some info on for our ford-fordson site.

Hi Henk,
Here's a link to a previous discussion on the Dexta Special.

Haven't seen one in Canada but I have a copy of the German language brochure.
Cheers,
Les

Re: dexta special
Noticed that this Dexta Special has the "Fordson DEXTA-SPECIAL" decals or stickers with the blue and orange paint colours but the offical Fordson brochures show ornaments or badges with the later blue and grey paint (June '63 on). Parts books show that decals (rather than badges) were mostly used from late 62 on.
Also has the live pto triangle shaped decal which was from 10/60 to 11/62. (according to the parts book) as well as the larger handles (10/62 on)
Hard to know if that is an original though.

Re: dexta special
Just reading a new book. In it is a France advertisement from Fordson from February 1962.
It say there's a Dexta Special from 32 hp, 3 cil engine 6 by 2 gearbox. It also has a narrow and vigneron version.
No color picture but drawing.

Henk,
That's some more Dexta history!
Would you be able to post a scan of the page?
If not, does the drawing show large flat fenders and a passenger seat? (or was that only for the German market?)
Holes in the rear rims for wheel weights?
Headlights inside or outside the nose cone?
Exhaust under or straight up?
So many questions, heh?
Thanks,
Les

I suspect that it is the same one offered for auction in Bristol on 19th.

Re: dexta special
Lesfen,
Because it's in a book, I can't scan it.
It has normal fender, headlights outside the nose, underswep exaust.
I can't see the rearwheels good enough to spot any holes but it looks like the normal rear wheel rimplates.

Thanks henk,
Hi Jerry,
I like it! Wish it was closer! Great for skidding logs out of the bush!
Looks like an pre Oct/60 nose cone on a later tractor (Apr/62 or even Jun/63)?
Are the front rims original?
