removing the lift pump.

I had gotten my super dexta to run but when it does it runs at full throttle the whole time. I inspected the pump and it appears that the lift pump has internal parts stuck. I decided to remove the pump in order to clean/repair it. I've unbolted the pump and removed all lines to the pump. Now my next step is to access what is internally keeping it attached. (All bolts are removed) before I continue I'm curious as to how I should approach removing it the rest of the way and the proper way to do so.
