got head back and installed on tractor , fired her up an bingo she started up
first dig  , so now :?: what was the problem , diddnt touch timming or pump
or injectors, must have been the head all along. before i done head up she was driving
fine except for black smoke intermittley at idle but when got her into shed and started to check
all usual ,fuel system ,timming ,injectors .fuel pump was all ok she would not even fire up with a blow lamp in the
air manifold . head had crack although was not mixing oil and water and valves were very bad
so must have been head all along :D hope this may help others

Well done sir :-)
Was going to say this month's tractor and machinery has a few articles on engines heads
December's.
Some mornings I wake up grumpy, but most mornings I let her sleep in.

Ah brilliant news on the engine! Hopefully all will be ok now. I just got back from visiting Dublin for a few days, lovely place, are you near there?
