Hi, not been on here for a while. My '64 super dexta had its engine rebuilt a few years ago and has done very little ever since until recently when I've been using her more withmy new toy, log splitter. Over the last week she's started spitting oil out from the exhaust manifold, not sure it's coming out of the exhaust or from around rocker cover. Any one any ideas?

Good to hear from you - sounds like the dreaded light load syndrome, as I had.

I put some Morris Running In Oil in mine and worked her severals days on the topper; now much improved. My local agman says leave it in for 100hrs.

Thanks Ben that sounds a good idea, I'll give it a whirl.

I built my Dexta engine and after starting up OK within a few hours was topping a big field with a 6' topper! Now runs sweet!

hi ihad something the same oil spots under bonnet after bottom end rebuild
and a clean up of head, after changing to morris 30w it cleared up and was great
for 5oohrs roughly , lately it started to sound differnt and started to puff outblack smoke
on idle, drove into shed and checked all fuel timming injectors pump ect and then she quit
now wont start :scratchhead: . have another post on this about black smoke,
iam in the process of pulling head and will get this done at a machine shop
and check if the bores have glazed, may need a hone, these tractors
really do need hard work to get them right after a rebuild, although
if like me you have nowhere to plough its going to be hard to do
