Parts washers?

Post by Johnmcm »

Can anyone recommend their approach to washing parts?
Are parts washers any good?
Which Solvent or water based?

Many thanks

Hi John
I have a Machine Mart parts washer and degreaser fluid. The fluid does shift most gunge and is kind to your hands if you wash them with soap and use hand cream to replace the skin oils removed by the fluid. Best to use gloves though.

Ok thanks Gerry, I'll have a look at Machine Mart. Is the fluid solvent or water based?
Thanks
John

This might help
https://www.machinemart.co.uk/documents ... _09_14.pdf

It says do not use solvents but then says "solvent pump"??
I use the parts washer fluid and it woks fine, just need to use a stiff brush to dislodge the hard stuff.
