Hi

Just finishing restoring my 1958 Dexta and wanted to ask you guys a question

It is ticking over too fast even though I've got it set on the lowest setting on the set screw do you guys know anything else I could try.

Much appreciated in anticipation

Thanks Hal

Did you manage to get this sorted, I've learned from my manuals that this can be adjusted on both sides of the tractor, have you tried adjusting it with the screws beside the mechanical governor on the left hand side of the tractor, I had something similar with mine but all I done was disconnected the throttle bar at the intake manifold and lenghtened the rod by turning it
If you look at this part of the throttle linkage you should see what I mean , hope this helps

Hi 59 Dexta

Sorry it's taken a long time to reply I'm still trying to get used to this forum lark.

Thanks for your reply and useful information I've not tried the points you have mentioned as of yet due to other commitments.

But certainly sounds feasible and will give it a try in the next few weeks and let you know how I get on

Thanks Hal
