1964 Super Dexta wiring
1964 Super Dexta wiring
I have bought a new wiring loom but the wiring diagrams I have do not match the colour of the wires on the loom (which I was assured was correct for my Dexta). I have found two alternative wiring diagrams but again, none of the colours match. Can anyone help please.

See Electrical System, page 21 for correct Super D wiring diag:
http://www.fordson.se/9_10_Dexta_verkst ... 99-234.pdf
Note that for the Super D, the key switch is separate from the light switch, a much more reliable set-up.
Where did you get your loom from?
In my experience, the best replacement looms are made by Autosparks, Nottingham, where I got mine. All wire colours correct, and they supplied it without end terminals fitted, so I could fit my own, which I also bought from them. First class job, and not expensive.

Re: 1964 Super Dexta wiring
Thanks for the link. That is the manual I'm working from. Bought the loom from our local guy who has always supplied us with Fordson parts and up until now, has never let us down. Can only assume that the loom is wrong! Was unable to follow the original wiring as was a bodge job on the tractor when we bought it.
