I can't seem to find a tool that I know I will be able to use to check compression. There are many kits on Amazon with many adapters however, non look like they will work. I had rather have an old injector and holder to fabricate a hookup to the gauge. Anybody know of a specific tool or way to read it. My current kit is mostly for gas burners. I am a tool junkie so I don't mind buying the tool or kit if I know it will work

If you're into electronics or know someone that is, then a good way of doing comparative tests is using an oscilloscope current probe to measure the starter motor current, more current needed to push the pistons against higher compression. and visa versa. See

Another way of doing the same thing is to turn the engine over slowly with a starting handle, you'll notice the compressions alright and hear the leakage if there is any.

Another indirect method, is it breathing? (out of the crankcase vent).

If you want to buy a tool there are plenty of kits on ebay, I don't know if you have to buy or make adaptors to fit the injector hole. https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/Diesel-Compres ... n_59498498
