More on Orange Dexta Grills

I'm about to buy a new pair of grills

But what colour??

According to our man Brian, Dextas should have silver grills not orange, except perhaps some export ones.

However our Nov 61 Dexta has had the same orange grills (with headlamp holes) for the past 35years, now sadly beyond repair but still orange - not rust! It is possible it did not have its original grills when it came to our farm, but if they're not original it begs the question as to where these orange grills came from?

So have there been any recent discoveries in the grill colour debate?

I am inclined to fit new orange grills as that's how I remember her and Brian says Henry Ford liked orange!

I don't want to get into the grille color debate, but I agree with your reason to keep them orange.
My Dad's '55 Major has had gray wheels for as long as I can remember. I know that they are supposed to be orange, but when I repaint it, they will be gray again.
