just normal.
These were the very first Ford tractors after the Fordson era. Dexta, Major and super major were still used to make the transition from Fordson to Ford.
Fordson Super Major New Performance
County Super 4 built on the Fordson Super Major
Selene built on the Fordson Super Major New Performance with Silvant winch

Yes, my uncle owned one,I have driven it.
It is very similar to a 3000, although much less common. I think the engine may well be the same, but set to give less power. The main difference between a 2000 and 3000 is that the 2000 only has 6 forward gears compared to the other 'thousand series' 8.

That looks a nice tractor :)

We still have one in the family, bought new in August 1965, so one of the very first, it looks just the same though except ours has safety cab fitted, dual clutch, swinging draw bar.

It still runs well but breathes noticeably and I'm afraid it likes a bit of ether to start! I know, bad news but we didn't know back in the day. I would post a picture if I had one, I don't live near there anymore.

Regards

Ian
