I can't believe how clean my timing gear housing and gears have turned out, before they were absolutely covered in gooey sludge.

Hi Mathias, thank you for the link for the spin on oil filter, I was able to buy an assembly here in my home town where lions and elephants roam the streets. :)

Glad to hear you managed to purchase a spin on filter kit on home soil Mervyn. At least you saved on taxes etc. Sounds like you are making good progress.
Keep us posted and updated with pics please. Im heading back to work on Tuesday so wont have access to the Forum for 3 weeks whilst away but look forward to seeing the updates on my return. Sadly ive not even had the chance to get my Dexta out of the workshop this time home as the good lady had too many jobs for me around the house to do. She informed me that these were all jobs that had been neglected whilst spending so much time on my beloved tractor lol.

Hi Folk, well my engine is all nicely refitted to the tractor, thanks for all interest and advice shared. I have not run the tractor yet as I am trying to sort out my steering issue. Once that is resolved I will need to connect up the brakes and clutch rods and adjust accordingly. Well that is the end of that chapter in my book.
