Pulsing hydraulics

Post by Bluebilly »

I have recently had a transport box and fingerbar mower mounted on my Dexta. With the transport box in the fully raised position there is hydraulic 'pulsing' felt about every 5 seconds, dropping the box slightly stops this for a while before it starts again. With the fingerbar mower on, and the mower raised off the ground it will slowly lower itself and then raise itself up to the original height without any changes to the height setting. I use a light plastic box mounted on the arms for road runs (tools, towrope, waterproofs etc.), and have not noticed anything untoward, so it must also be linked to implement weight.
I've looked through the manual for guidance, but have not found anything leading me to the cause of the problem, which I'm assuming is linked to both symptoms. Hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction.

BlueBilly,
Is your lift control lever in Draft control instead of Position Control ?

Thanks PghBill, I'm overseas at the moment and will check that when I get back home.
