59 Dexta lift cylinder replacement

Hi Guys
Help and info please, my Dexta is nearly finished but needed a replacement hydraulic lift cylinder as one threaded lug was cracked, the replacement cylinder is a different shape to the original and catches on the drive shaft through the camber. Has anyone else had issues with this? The company supplying this cannot help saying it is the correct one and I am reluctant to grind off the offending part.
